The 2024 Innovation Strategy Awards were recently held at at Toronto's TIFF Lightbox, as part of Trend Hunter’s Future Festival World Summit innovation conference. Each of this year's winners spotlighted groundbreaking tactics in brand innovation, showcasing adaptability and creativity to drive meaningful change.
David Lee, Senior Director of Global Licensing & Cultural Marketing at Kellanova, won the Award for Infectious Messaging for aligning the brand with consumer passion points in fashion, music, and entertainment. Kimberly-Clark took home the Award for Ability to Change by leveraging Rapid Learning Cycles & Storytelling to quickly adapt and connect new solutions with consumers. Elisa Giusti, VP of Marketing Strategy & Innovation at Fonterra, earned the Award for Sustainability Impact for the brand's Carbon Footprint Transparency initiative, empowering consumers to measure the carbon impact of ingredients.
Kristel Zaman, Head of Marketing at Grundfos, was recognized with the Award for Culture of Innovation for the brand's global Teams chat that fosters spontaneous idea sharing. Pizza Hut’s Taras Malyshev and Petra O’Brien received the Award for Adaptive Innovation for their Firefly Tests, which validate and adjust ideas in real time. Finally, Ranata Alves, Digital Innovation Manager at BASF, won the Award for Opportunity Hunting for the brand's “Beyond the Hashtag” program, which applies emerging tech to generate new business opportunities.
