Pleasing's Immersive PleasingLand Includes a “Scent Arcade”

— May 18, 2026 — Fashion
In a world where so much of life plays out on flat screens, people crave visceral experiences that remind them what it feels like to be somewhere with all of their senses, and Harry Styles' lifestyle brand Pleasing recently opened the doors to PleasingLand to provide just such a space in Amsterdam. This multi-week pop-up invites visitors to touch, smell and hear through a playful, intuitively led journey that ends with an olfactory oracle pointing that points people in the direction of the Pleasing fragrance best suited for them.

Before they get there, guests will experience a fully immersive music world within The Pleasing x Loop discovery room, created to coincide with co-branded earbuds that recently launched, and the free Pleasing Polish Station, where people can get their nails done.

Trend Themes

  1. Multisensory Retail Experiences — Integration of scent, sound and tactile elements with shoppable digital layers can redefine in-person commerce and customer data capture.
  2. Brand-led Immersive Pop-ups — Temporary, narrative-driven spaces that extend a brand’s identity can act as high-impact testing grounds for product concepts and direct-to-consumer models.
  3. Scent-based Personalization — Using olfactory profiling alongside behavioral cues can create highly individualized product recommendations and deepen long-term customer loyalty.

Industry Implications

  1. Retail — Physical stores that evolve into experiential destinations may shift revenue mixes toward events, subscriptions and high-margin exclusive merchandise.
  2. Fragrance & Beauty — Embedding scent diagnostics and multisensory sampling into the customer journey could transform product discovery and reduce reliance on traditional advertising.
  3. Entertainment & Live Events — Curated immersive installations that blend music, performance and sensory design have the potential to unlock new sponsorship ecosystems and premium ticketing formats.
