Ricardo Sá Designs the Slash Cat Tree Concepts for the Home
References: linkedin & yankodesign
Ricardo Sá designs the Slash cat tree concept, which is meant to seamlessly integrate into the decor of any home. The furniture concept falls between a cat tree and a shelf that is meant for humans. Known for their agile movements, cats are great at climbing and these furniture pieces are meant to appeal to their nature.
The Slash cat tree is inspired by the Japanese art of tameshigiri, which is a test-cutting sword that is seen through rolls of bamboo or straw. The concept aims to create something that is appealing to cats and their owners. The inclined part is close to the floor and the shelves on top can hold household items such as books.
