Trader Joe's Sheepish Pesto is a Pesto-Infused Sheep’s Milk Cheese

— August 9, 2026 — Lifestyle
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the delicious taste of pesto and now you can do so in a whole new way with the debut of Trader Joe's Sheepish Pesto.

As you might have guessed from the name, the new Sheepish Pesto is a sheep’s milk cheese infused with the rich, herbaceous taste of pesto. The cheese i made by taking nutty, umami-rich sheep’s milk cheese from a creamery in Spain, aging it for six months, and then injecting it with a herby, garlicky pesto. This process adds bold streaks of green to the cheese and a distinctive basil taste that is wholly unique.

The new Sheepish Pesto is a limited-time offering available for the month of August from your local Trader Joe's store.
