Platypod announced the release of its upcoming flagship photography product, the 'Platypod Extreme' compact tripod mount. This mount features a unique trapezoidal design with adjustable spike legs that allow it to situate itself strongly on most surfaces. The Platypod Extreme weighs only 0.6 pounds and it can support up to 200lbs on its bolt due to its aircraft-grade aluminum. This device is easy to transport not only because of its low weight but also because of its convenient accessory mounts and carabiner holders. The Platypod Extreme has several sections for carabiner expansion and features several mounts for photography accessories such as lights, microphones, or calibrators.
