Oilstainlab Brought Its Half-11 Art Car Home to Europe

— June 24, 2026 — Autos
Oilstainlab and Delphi unveiled the European tour for the Half-11, with the Oilstainlab Half-11 Delphi art car making its debut at Ultrace in Gdańsk before traveling to Hockenheimring in Germany and the Tutto Bene event in Italy. The reimagined livery marks Delphi's second art car collaboration, following its Alpine A110 Rally GT+ project, and pays tribute to the 1960s motorsport era that inspired the Half-11's original design.

Built on a heavily modified 1966 Porsche 911 chassis with a V8 engine and six-speed manual transmission, the Half-11 has accumulated more than 12,000 miles through appearances at events including the Goodwood Festival of Speed and The Quail Motorsports Gathering. The tour will help inform Oilstainlab's upcoming production vehicle, the HF-11, an ultra-lightweight sports car designed around a raw, analog driving experience.

Oilstainlab shows how boutique automotive brands are using storytelling, design and experiential touring to transform limited-production vehicles into cultural icons.

Trend Themes

  1. Art-car Touring — Limited-run vehicles gain cultural value when moving exhibitions combine motorsport heritage, collectible design, and live event access across multiple markets.
  2. Analog Performance Revival — A renewed appetite for raw driving experiences creates space for boutique automakers to differentiate through lightweight engineering, manual controls, and emotional authenticity.
  3. Heritage-led Brand Storytelling — Motorsport-inspired narratives can turn niche automotive builds into lifestyle symbols that attract collectors, sponsors, and design-focused communities.

Industry Implications

  1. Boutique Automotive — Small-scale manufacturers are positioned to challenge legacy performance brands by blending custom engineering, scarcity, and experiential brand ecosystems.
  2. Experiential Marketing — Tour-based product launches offer premium brands a way to transform physical appearances into serialized content, audience participation, and cultural momentum.
  3. Motorsport Events — Curated festivals and track gatherings increasingly function as discovery platforms where art, performance vehicles, and luxury partnerships converge.
