The 'Boxing Buddy' is a high-tech boxing trainer that is designed to make it easier than ever for avid boxing enthusiasts of all levels to go about getting a more wholesome and realistic training experience by allowing them to face different kinds of boxing attacks.
The 'Boxing Buddy' comprises a pair of robotic arms that can used in conjunction with a punching bag. It works in conjunction with a companion smartphone app that delivers three modes. These include Random Sparring Mode, in which punches are completely random, and Custom Mode, which allows users to program specific patterns. Finally, Coach Mode allows a human coach to use the app to remotely control the boxing arms.
While many existing boxing apparatuses only allow users to practise punching, they don't enable people to experience the other side of boxing which is to face being punched and find ways to evade contact and damage. This is the advantage that this smart boxing trainer offers. It's currently listed on Indiegogo and can be obtained for a pledge of $249.
