Striped Pig Distillery, which has made waves over the past decade as a woman-owned, family-run business that produces high-quality spirits, teamed up with none other than Ghost Monkey Brewery in order to launch a special-edition bourbon barrel beer to mark National Bourbon Day.
This particular bourbon barrel beer is a stout that was created by Khoi Nguyen, master brewer over at Ghost Monkey, with the brew then spending over a year undergoing aging in Striped Pig bourbon barrels.
This delicious stout was released in only 111 bottles. Considering that bourbon barrel aging results in beers being imbued with the special characteristics of its particular batch and barrel, each and every one of the 111 bottles well and truly offers a one-of-a-kind drinking experience.
